: (1) The general meeting may remove the director from the directorship of the committee in any of the following cases by a majority decision:-
(a) In case of financial embezzlement causing loss to the concerned cooperative society,
(b) In case of unauthorized violation of the confidentiality of the matter related to the business of the cooperative society concerned,
(c) In case of doing business or business of a similar nature in a manner that competes with the business and business of the concerned cooperative,
(d) If any action is taken to the detriment of the cooperative organization concerned,
(e) If he is physically or mentally unable to work,
(f) If any director does not have the qualifications mentioned in this Act, the rules or regulations made under this Act.
(2) Before deciding to remove a director from the position of the committee, such a director shall be given an opportunity to submit a clarification before the general meeting.
(3) If a director does not submit an explanation within the period specified in sub-section (2) or if the explanation submitted by him is not satisfactory, the general meeting may remove such director from office.
(4) According to sub-section (3), a member who has been removed from the position of director shall not be eligible to be a candidate in the election of the committee for a term of up to two terms.
(5) If a director resigns from the position according to sub-section (3), the general meeting shall elect another director for the remaining period.
